RECIPE: Chocolatey Ice Cream
Didn’t get enough chocolate at Easter? Enjoy this easy to make guilt free chocolate ice cream.
Eating clean whole foods certainly doesn’t need to be boring nor make you feel deprived of your favourite treats. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do (perhaps more so when the weather warms up again!).
2 small ripe avocados, peeled and chopped
3 tbsp cocoa
5 medjool dates
50g dark chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa), roughly chopped.. I use green and blacks organic chocolate 85%
Peel the bananas and chop into chunks.
Place in the freezer for 3–4 hours.
Remove from the freezer and allow to soften for ten minutes before placing in a food processor.
Blend into a paste.
Add the dates, cocoa and avocado, and mix again until the mixture develops the consistency of a mousse.
Divide into serving bowls and top with chocolate chunks.
